How It Works
Rather than wrapping each platform's own MapLibre SDK, the library calls MapLibre Native (C++) through a single flat C interface, with typed C# wrappers on top. One native code path serves every platform:
| Platform | Renderer |
|---|---|
| Android | OpenGL ES or Vulkan |
| iOS / macOS | Metal |
| Windows | OpenGL or Vulkan |
On every platform the map is drawn as an ordinary framework visual, with its on-map controls as real framework children. That avoids the problem on Windows where a native map window floats above the app's own controls.
Key Features
- A
MapLibreMapcontrol you add to any MAUI page in XAML - Map styles loaded from any MapLibre-compatible style URL
- Sources, layers and overlays, plus a "my location" option
- A WPF control,
MlnMapImage, built on the same typed bindings
The library is released under the BSD 2-Clause License.
